Planting Trees with your Merchandise
Building forests to lower our carbon footprint
Over the last decade, we have actively been finding new ways to lower our environmental impact as a company, and trying to source branded corporate gifts in a more environmentally conscious manner.
This is one of the many reasons we’ve partnered with Ecologi, an organisation focused on reforestation and generating carbon offsetting opportunities by developing renewable energy sources across the globe. As of today (September 1st 2021), we will plant 25 trees in your name for every order placed over £750. These trees include baobab, mangroves, natal mahogany, trichilia emetica, and various species.
Your tree saplings will be planted in The Sycal Forests across Mozambique, Madagascar, and Nicaragua. Once we have arranged the planting of your tree saplings, you’ll be able to see them grow virtually in a digital version of The Sycal Forest, representing our efforts to help lower carbon emissions.
Carbon Offsetting Our Staff
As well as planting trees, we will also be carbon offsetting our staff, saving 7.06 tonnes of CO2e every single month. These offsetting funds go directly to reforestation projects and carbon reduction schemes across the globe. Whether it’s building solar farms in Vietnam, converting landfill gas to energy in Northern Turkey, or restoring the Pacific Coast of Columbia, we’re helping directly impact atmospheric CO2 levels.
Our current impact when visualised is over 17,500 miles of car emissions saved every month, and with every order over £750, we can make that substantially higher.
More than tree planting
Every single tree planted in The Sycal Forest is done responsibly with The Eden Restoration Projects. Their mission is to help recreate self-sustainable and healthy forest systems, build local economies in impoverished areas, and empower the people in those communities. The Eden Restoration Projects creates jobs for local people, hiring and training them to plant and maintain your tree saplings, as they grow.
Because of this training, your seedlings have a fantastic survival rate of 80% once planted, ensuring that your order has helped create a positive economic and environmental impact. Through our partnership with Ecologi, we’re helping create jobs, restore wildlife habitats, and reduce carbon pollution.
